True Believers Mass Choir

II Chronicles 20:21-22
21 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who should sing to the LORD, and who should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying: “Praise the LORD, For His mercy endures forever.”

22 Now when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated.

Music Ministry is very vital to any church organization. Members of the True Believers Mass Choir strive to be present day Levites, sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ through song. Our goal is to uplift, and offer encouragement to a dying world through our music that they may hold onto God’s unchanging hand. We are committed to Christ and we strive for excellence is our music. Our hope is that God would manifest his love through our voices.

The Brotherhood Department

The True Believers Brotherhood department is wholehearted and enthusiastic in its commitment to the spiritual and natural needs of men. We stand on the fundamental principles that “iron sharpens iron” and “a threefold cord is not easily broken.” We will relentlessly and continuously strive to achieve oneness!

Praise and Worship Team

ohn 4:23
23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.

The Praise and Worship team was created to take the opening of our morning services to a new dimension. By leading the congregation into corporate worship, our mission is to usher in the presence of the Holy Spirit, which sets the tone for the remainder of the service. We are committed not just to singing, but to ministry. The purpose is not to put our talents on display but to give all praise to God through our hearts and with all our might.

Ladies’ Auxiliary

The Ladies’ Auxiliary of True Believers Church is comprised of women of God of all ages. As women of God we are committed to service. This auxiliary meets each month and designs activities that are both spiritual and natural. Under the leadership of our First Lady Willie Mae Patten, we are compelled to be prayer warriors for Christ. We are instructed how to live and walk in true holiness as women of faith.

On the first Saturday of each month, the women’s auxiliary host morning or intercessory prayer and all are invited to attend. We do home visits to the sick and minister through song and praise. Fellowship activities are a vital part of social aspect of the auxiliary. Annual events such as birthday outings, covered dishes, holiday parties, secret pal gift exchanges, and our annual summer excursion are just a few of the functions that bring us together as a unified auxiliary. We are our sisters’ keepers and welcome newcomers to join us.

Usher Board

“For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.” Psalms 84:10

Our vision is to support the divine vision that God has given to the pastor for the enhancement and growth of our church. The purpose of this ministry is to assist in making members and visitors feel comfortable, and to lend spiritual dignity to the church service; to maintain a structure that will aid the pastor, by helping to put the congregation in the right frame of mind to receive the message. We are committed to be faithful in our duties and to serve with honor and integrity as officers in the House of God.

Usher Qualifications
A person desiring to join the usher ministry must be a member in good standing of the Church; be physically able to stand for at least two hours. They must be baptized in the name of Jesus, seeking the gift of the Holy Spirit, and maintain a continuous walk in the way of holiness.

Youth Department

At True Believers, the mission of our Young People Department is to effect real change in the lives of children and youth in our church by providing opportunities for participation in activities which will empower them to live continually victorious Christian lives. Our young people are provided opportunities to discover and present their talents and skills with confidence. Our desire is for them to wholeheartedly commit to working for the Lord by using their hands to render services that benefit others. Therefore, one of our goals is to increase our youth’s participation in community service projects, as well as, outreach and evangelism efforts. We encourage our parents to get involved and provide the necessary support in keeping their children involved in spiritual activities and healthy life practices.

Therefore, O ye that embarks in the service of God, see that ye serve him with all your heart, might, mind and strength, that ye may stand blameless before God at the last day.

Praise Dancers

Praise him with the timbrel and dance; praise him with stringed instruments and organs.  - Psalm 150:4

As praise dancers and worshippers, we give God praise through our dance ministry. To minister, we use liturgical dancing, “an expression of prayer and worship through movement”, to nonverbally glorify God in the beauty of holiness. It is our prayer that God be glorified through this ministry of worship through the arts. Our goal is to see dance restored back into the church where it originated as a true form of praise and worship unto our Lord. Let us praise His name with a dance!
